Facial Massage

Facial massage - Japanese shiatsu massage technique for pre-facial relaxation - acting on the soles of the feet.

Position yourself below your partner's feet, looking toward his or her head.

The first three points on the sole are on a line bisecting the foot.

The fourth and last is high in the arch, above the inside corner of the heel, slightly forward of the first point.

  • Wrap your fingers around the top of your partner's right foot and place your thumbs side by side just below the center of the heel pad. Give deep (20-pound) pressure for three seconds. Pause.
  • Move down the line to the center of the sole. Repeat the pressure for three seconds. Pause.
  • Place your thumbs side by side on the point just behind the ball of the foot. Repeat the pressure. Pause.
  • Move back up and to the inside, and place both thumbs on the fourth point, high in the arch. Give deep (20-pound) pressure for three seconds.
  • Repeat the pressures at the corresponding points on the sole of the left foot.

The next step in pre-facial massage using the Japanese shiatsu technique addresses the abdomen.
